What should I bring to class?

Yoga Mat (we provide them if you don't have one.) A smile and a good sense of humor. We don't take ourselves too seriously here.

I am pregnant, or trying to conceive, can I attend classes?

Our Gentle and Hatha Classes are perfect for prenatal yoga. Most poses are easily adapted to create a comfortable and safe practice for you and your baby. Please contact us about workshops that will be appropriate for you.

If you are expecting, we ask that you:
*Check with your doctor or midwife to confirm that it is safe for you to practice prenatal yoga.
*Arrive early to your first class and inform the teacher about your exciting news.

*Check out these guidelines for yoga during pregnancy, and come prepared with any questions you may have about the practice or modifications.

What should I wear in class?

Something comfortable. No special clothing is required. Men should plan to wear shirts.

Do I have to take my shoes off?

At Supreme Peace, we do not require students to remove their shoes (unless they are borrowing a studio mat) or socks. However, most students find that it is slippery and inconvenient to have shoes and socks on during practice. Yoga helps us to let go of our insecurities about our body, so we can be comfortable in bare feet.

I have an injury or illness, can I do yoga?

Everyone can do yoga. We specialize in yoga for beginners. Yoga is about creating health in our body, mind, and spirit; so it will be important to contact your medical health professionals and yoga teacher to determine which type of yoga will help you achieve this goal best.
