When I attended Shanti Mom Prenatal Yoga training, I was pregnant with my third child. To say it was a powerful experience would be a huge understatement. What a fantastic treat for myself and my unborn little one! The information learned was invaluable as a teacher and as a pregnant mama. The relationships built in the training have continued even past the trainings end. While I was in the training I was also going through some huge spiritual transitions and Katy was gracious enough to listen to me, to take extra time with me to assist me with working through things and was a huge resource of light during a difficult transition. Her knowledge is vast, her warm and loving demeanor comforting, and her classes are spiritually awakening. Anyone given the opportunity to learn from this beautiful soul will be filled with useful information, as well as being deeply touched and uplifted by her compassion and light. --Elizabeth

Is this for me?
If you said “yes” to any of these, you’re in the right place!
What if I 'm not a yoga teacher? No problem. Are you someone passionate about expecting mommas? Maybe you're a doula, midwife, doctor, nurse, etc.... You're welcome to attend the first two levels of this training, and learn all kinds of amazing things that will help support the mommas you care about.
Years passed and several trainings later she has emerged with education in multiple styles of yoga including prenatal yoga. She was inspired most by the prenatal trainings, and from this inspiration, came the birth of the Shanti Mom Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training. Years after the birth of her last child she knew there was a better way to prepare for birth and through the Shanti Mom Program she has been able to share this fresh perspective with many others.
She recently relocated to beautiful La Grange, Kentucky (just outside of Louisville). She couldn't possibly have done all this without the love and support of her amazing husband Bob and four kids! She would be amiss to not mention her gratitude for the continued yogic teachings her human and fur children offer daily!
Thank You for Your Desire to Grow
I was having a conversation with a young mother of two the other day at the Farmers' Market. As she busily wrangled her little ones with patience and love, she apologized for not being more involved in the community.
I asked her to reconsider her apology while remembering that right now her job is to raise two kind, healthy human beings. I'm not sure there's any better service to our community.
If you want to be of service to young mothers by creating connection, community, and support through Yoga--know that you are contributing to a better future for us all.
As the owner of Supreme Peace Yoga & Wellness, I'm humbled and honored to be able to host the Shanti Mom Pregnancy Yoga Training with Katy. She's a talented teacher with a passion for young mommas. With her expert guidance in the Louisville Area, great things are happening for the newest generation.
Thank you for your desire to step up!

PS Here is some of the fun we have had during Shanti Mom Yoga
Women with a passion for working with other women during pregnancy are invited to train with this unique program.
During each step of this training teacher trainers will learn to:
“I went into the Shanti Mom training expecting to leave with a good understanding of how to teach a prenatal yoga class. What I left with was a beautiful perspective. Katy is well versed and absolutely passionate about prenatal yoga and it really shows through in the depth of the program. Her methodology creates bonds within the group and provides opportunities for exploration of personal past experiences, encouraging teachers tap into their own passion for teaching this type of class. The training instills confidence in not only teaching a physically appropriate prenatal yoga class, but also in supporting the expectant moms with a spiritual, connected and empowering experience within a meaningful community.” -Pam Painter

Did you know there are only 4 Registered Prenatal Yoga Teachers in ALL of Kentucky?!?
There are only 2 in the Louisville area, and the founder of Shanti Mom, Katy, is one of them. Help us remove barriers from mommas receiving amazing prenatal yoga.
I really want to, but…..
I’m not sure I can commit to all three trainings: No worries. Katy has designed this program to be easily digestible into three weekend components. While Level I and II do need to be taken in order, you can register for Level I or III now, and return to the other levels when you're able.
I’m not a yoga teacher: Again, no worries! Levels I and II are designed for yoga teachers and women who are passionate about serving pregnant mommas. You'll learn lots of tools to help better prepare the mommas you serve for labor physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We do encourage you to have a yoga practice prior to enrolling.

About the Lead Instructor:
Katy Stahl, ERYT 500, RPYT
After the birth of her third child Katy started on a path of self exploration. As life was changing rapidly she searched for her deeper purpose. This exploration became physical and spiritual at the same time and then she went to a yoga class. Realizing there was so much more to this lifestyle--down the rabbit hole she went.
The Shanti Mom Yoga Teacher Training was some of the most valuable yoga teacher training I have ever received. Katy is extremely warm and knowledgable. She did an excellent job of creating a community among the participants, which was ideal for the subject of the training. I left her training knowing how to plan and deliver a safe, effective, and fun prenatal yoga class, which was exactly what I was looking for. I would highly recommend this training to anyone interested in teaching prenatal yoga classes or interested in learning how to accommodate expecting mothers in their normal yoga classes. - Laurie LeCompte
