I’m worried about the time commitment: We’ve scheduled the training with you in mind. Classes meet for one weekend  every 3-4 weeks, so they do not require you to dedicate an entire month or more of your life to the process. Additionally, this format allows you time to more fully integrate the materials and feel more comfortable and confident teaching than an immersion program. It also allows you time to build deeper connections with your fellow trainees. We hope that many of you forge friendships of a lifetime during this training.

This training does require a lot of its participants because we want you to be the very best yoga teachers in our community. Because of that, we’ve built flexibility into the curriculum to allow you 12 months to complete all of your homework and practicum assignments that take place outside of the training room.

But what if I miss a session: No worries. If you do not plan to teach yoga, your fellow students and I will help get you caught up with notes and handouts. If you do wish to apply as a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, they require 180 contact hours in your teacher training program. The Supreme Peace Yoga Teacher Training has been designed to exceed these requirements for your benefit and flexibility. If you miss a few hours for extenuating circumstances, all you will need to do is contact Jodie for the handouts, and chat with one of your fellow trainees to get their notes and impressions on the training missed.

If you miss enough of the of the training program to drop you below the 180 contact hour mark, you will need to have a conversation with Jodie to schedule a time to make the hours up in one on one training for $50/hour.

It’s just not in the bank right now: We offer a flexible payment plan including $300 off for early birds who register by 2/1/17 and an additional $250 off for those who pay in full by 2/25/17. That's almost 20% off tuition! Tuition also covers the cost of your monthly membership to Supreme Peace Yoga from March-August ($570 value), so you can really develop a consistent practice and continue deepening your relationships with your teaching cohort.

Serious and dedicated students needing financial assistance, can also apply for work study to offset some of the monetary cost of training. Please contact Jodie for details at info@supreme-peace-yoga.com

Return/refund policy

Before submitting your application for yoga teacher training we ask that you consider the time, money, and energy that must be invested to become a yoga teacher. We recommend that you carefully evaluate your schedule and obligations to ensure that you can commit fully to the program. The deposit is due when you submit your application and is non-refundable unless you cancel more than two weeks prior to the training, and a student from the waiting list fills your place in the training. In that event, your application fee will be credited to your account minus a $100 processing fee. If you choose to remove yourself from this program within a week of the start date or prior to the end of the program dates, you understand no refunds will be issued, and if you’ve chosen to pay your tuition via the installment plan, that you are still responsible for paying your balance in full. However, please remain in close contact with us if you are considering leaving the program early. It is possible that a solution can be found that will allow you to complete the program if you have a strong commitment to do so.

I really want to, but…..

I’m worried I’m not ready for a teaching program: Many people worry that they aren’t ready for a yoga teacher training program either because they have not been practicing long or they do not feel their physical practice is advanced enough. Supreme Peace not looking for people who have been practicing yoga since childhood or can stand on their head an hour a day. We are looking for dedicated, passionate, compassionate yogis who are serious about learning more about themselves and others. The Lead Instructor of the Supreme Peace Yoga Teacher Training, Jodie, started her teacher training program without ever intending to teach. (Things changed somewhere along the way.) Regardless of whether or not you ever teach, you will learn and grow so much during this process.

I’m not sure I want to teach: You never have to teach a yoga class to benefit from Yoga Teacher Training. We can’t think of a better way to immerse yourself in a year of personal growth and in depth understanding of yoga practices and yogic living than to take a teacher training course. Jodie completed her teacher training with no intention of teaching yoga as a career. Although that changed for her, we know many people who only explore teacher training to deepen their practice. Sure there will be some assignments and discussions related to teaching students, but all of these can be adapted to meet your needs of deepening your practice.

About the Program

The Supreme Peace Yoga Teacher Training program provides personal training to a small group of dedicated yoga students. We explore a variety of yogic philosophies and styles during our training by practicing many different styles of yoga experientially (through our own practice) and intellectually (through discussion and readings), so that you can find your own preferred, unique style of practice or teaching.

Supreme Peace Yoga provides a comprehensive, compassionate, experience of yogic learning in a peaceful, nurturing environment.

At home practice, reading, written assignments, and exams are a part of this study. Students will be evaluated on class participation, written assignments, observed teaching, exams, and adherence to the Yoga Alliance Code of Conduct for Yoga Teachers. Upon successful completion of the program including all in-class hours, written assignments, projects, and exams, students will receive a 200 hour yoga teaching certificate from the Supreme Peace Yoga Teacher Training and will be eligible to apply to Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 level (RYT 200).(Students wishing to participate for the sole purpose of spiritual and personal development may choose not to take the exam and other course work required by the Yoga Alliance.)

Tuition payment includes these tangible items:
*        Application
*        Testing fees
*        Contact hours associated with the training
*        Electronic course manual
*        An unlimited yoga pass at Supreme Peace Yoga good from March 3, 2017-August 30, 2017

 It does not cover the cost of additional books that will be used as required reading text, your Yoga Alliance Registration, or Liability Insurance.

During my teacher training, I found the intangible benefits outweighed the tangible benefits. I look forward to providing an atmosphere where you will experience these benefits as well:

*       Greater compassion for yourself and others
